About Me

Hi! I’m Deb, the face behind DLouise Tax, LLC
I was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio and I’ve spent the last 10+ years working in taxes and accounting. I have my Master’s in Taxation degree from the University of Cincinnati (Go Bearcats!), am an IRS Enrolled Agent candidate, and a corporate Tax Director in the renewable energy industry. I have spoken on tax topics at conferences across the country and regularly serve as a presenter in educational tax law webinars. I've gathered all of this experience and passion and put it into my own tax preparation and personal finance advising firm: DLouise Tax.
Why DLouise Tax?
I started this business because I saw a gap: everyday people are being rushed and seen as just another tax return at big box tax chains, or priced out of accounting firms who seem more focused on stock investors or just the wealthy. I believe high quality financial services should be available to everyone. Whether you’re an individual, a growing family, or a small business owner, you deserve an expert in your corner who sees more than just a once-a-year filing. I focus on every aspect of your financial world in every chapter of your life.
What I Focus On:
-
Quality: Affordable tax preparation by a credentialed accountant who has the education background and works in taxes everyday, not just seasonally. Tax is my passion and my clients get my devoted attention.
-
Planning: Year-round financial advising - whether you need help budgeting your paycheck, making payment arrangements with the IRS, personalized advice on improving your credit score, or an accounting tutor for your child....I'm here!
-
Empowerment: I won't just cram numbers and hand you an invoice, I'll help you better understand what everything means so you can feel empowered to make financial decisions and stress less about money.
Outside the Office
I’m a Columbus native, a dog mom, and I also work as a MMA interviewer (yes, I like a good fight, especially when it’s for my clients)! I’m also on a mission to bring financial literacy to our public schools, ensuring the next generation starts off on the right foot. I always wondered why there was never a Taxes 101 or Intro Credit Scores class growing up, so i want to help make that change for our youth.
